Who We Are
Matt Berman is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, composer, and music director whose artistry bridges jazz, contemporary, and popular idioms. His musical journey began at LaGuardia High School for Music & Art, where he became the youngest member of the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz High School program. From there, he studied at The New School for Jazz & Contemporary Music in New York, under mentors such as Reggie Workman, Roy Hargrove, Ben Wendel, and others.
His professional credits include touring with Brandon Flowers (The Killers), opening for Justin Timberlake, Aaron Carter, Ingrid Michaelson, and collaborating on works featured in Billboard and international media.
With the Trio, Matt brings that depth of experience into an intimate format- combining saxophone, keys, drums and rich harmonies to serve any space without overwhelming it.
